This fool is really a wise and adventurous idealist...with the passion and longevity to follow through on a dream for sharing the Presidio as we know it.: Today's treasure spot: Wisser Court, in the Fort Scott area of the Presidio, named for the first commander of Fort Scott, Colonel John Philip Wisser. His family lived in the home on the main post that became General Pershing's home, (site of a tragic fire). Wisser built the tennis courts for his two sons. This is in the area that is proposed for the Fisher museum... There are layers of history on the main post....take the time to discover them and then you will understand why a huge modern building is an insult to this already rich landscape!
